A fever days ago, September 20th, 2025, I had an English exam, called PETS.

I have been learning English for nearly eight months, and I have been unemployeed for nearly eleven mouths.

According To the original plan, I should immediately review the front-end knowledge and looking for a job as soon as the results come out in a month and a half now.

But I'm confused now. I am writing this sad diary, pretending you don't understand.

I have writen long long message, take me nearly a day's time. Unfornitely, when I modify this article's title, the message suddenly missed, it was vanblog's bug! I was very frustrate and angry, however venting emothions won't solve the problem. After thinking about it，those context don't seem that important, which inclues the proces of learning English, the experience of taking the exam adn the pressure are not that important.

The important thing is that I spend a day learn English and took a small step closer to becoming fluent in English. Maybe I failed the exam this time, but as long as I don't give up, it's not a loss, Failure is not scary, what is scary is giving up.

Is English important to computer program, this question must be thought. I

I know that friends who work in technology all know to install a browser plug-in to read English documents. In the future, there may already be smart glasses or headphones that can read English or communicate with foreigners.

But I think English is still important for computer programming for the following reasons.

1. Computers were invented by by Americans, and all programming languages are designed based on English. Codes and method names are all in English.
2. A large amount of underlying software code and open software are mostly written by foreigners. In addition English proficiency is very important for reading logs.
3. Many of the latest technical documents and software documents are in English. Using translation software is sometimes not very accurate. After all, there are many differences in English and Chinese thinking.

Actually, I also know that many programmers are not good at English. I used to be one of them and have been doing front-end development for almost 10 years. Since many software companies have English requirements for recruitment, and I also want to make up for the regret of not passing the CET-4, then I will learn it, When I am busy, I will not be anxious. Being busy can cure all diseases.
