Just as the saying goes, "A friend walks in when the rest of the world walks out." There is no doubt that a forever friend plays a very important role in our life. When we feel sad, and the world seems dark and empty, our forever friend lifts us up in spirits, tells us that everything will be OK and gets us through the hard and confused times.

But how to find such a forever friend that is a realistic question for us. To get well along with others and win their friendships. we must observe strictly the following words. First and foremost, we need to be honest with others, which is the most effective policy to gain friendship. Second, we have to be humble enough. If we are pround in public, we can hardly win other's respect, not to mention "friendship". Finally, we should learn how to show our concern for others.

As far as I'm concerned, a forever friend greatly influences one's life. And as long as we abide by what is mentioned above, we will find it easy to find a forever friend.

Question Feedback

Dear Mrs. Smith,

I am your neighbor living downstairs in the same building. I am really sorry to say that your daughter's playing the piano every night does disturb me a lot.

Almost every night, there comes some noise caused by the piano from your apartment just as I go to bed and am on my way to a dream. As a result, I would like to ask you whether you can let your daughter change the time to practice the piano. I think it would be much better for me if your daughter can play the piano two hours earlier. Whatever you do at that time of the night, you have to take your neighbors' rest into consideration. If this situation hasn't changed, I will go to the property to make a complaint.

I heard you are always a friendly and considerate neighbor. Please stop making noise at night. Thank you, Take care.

Yours sincerely,
WangLin

Ellen ChanYes, that's right.
Mr. WangHow much do you know about the sort of work that the Marketing Officer Trainee does in a company like ours?

My reading of the job description suggests that a trainee probably start as an apprentice working closely with a well experienced Marketing Officer, learning how to keep records, identify opportunities, and implement schemes and plans and, I suppose, gradually taking on more responsibility and exercising more initiative.

The main purpose of a resume is to convince an employer to grant you an interview.
There are two kinds.
One is the familiar "tombstone" that lists where you went to school and where you have worked in chronological order.
The other is what I call the "functional" resume -- descriptive, fun to read, unique to you and much more likely to land you an interview.
It's handy to have a "tombstone" for certain occasions. But prospective employers throw away most of those unrequested "tombstone" lists, preferring to interview the quick rather than the dead.
What follows are tips on writing a functional resume that will get read--a resume that makes you come alive and look interesting to employers.
Put yourself first: In order to write a resume which others will read with enthusiasm, you have to feel important about yourself.
Sell what you can do, not who you are: Practice translating your personality traits, character, accomplishments, and achievements into skill areas. There are at least five thousand skill areas in the world of work.
Toot your own horn: Many people clutch when asked to think about their abilities. Some think they are none at all! But everyone does, and one of yours may just be the ticket an employer would be glad to punch--if only you show it.
Be specific, be concrete, and be brief!
Turn had news into good: Everybody has had disappointment in work. If you have to mention yours, look for the positive side.
Never apologize: If you're returning to the work force after fifteen years as a parent, simply write a short paragraph(summary of background) in place of an chronology of experience.
Don't apologize for working at being a mother: it's the hardest job of all. If you have no special training or higher education, just don't mention education.
How to psych yourself up: The secret is to think about the self before you start writing about yourself. Take four or five hours off not necessarily consecutive, and simply write down every accomplishment in your life, on or off the job.
That made feel effective. Don't worry at first about what it all means. Study the list and try to spot patterns.
As you study your list, you will come closer to the meaning: identifying your marketable skills.
Once your discover patterns, give names to your cluster of accomplishments(leadership skills, Budget management skills, child development skills, etc.).
Try to list at least three accomplishments under the same skills heading.
Now start writing your resume as if you mattered, It may take four drafts or more, and several weeks, before you're ready to show it to a stranger( friends are usually too kind) for a reaction.
When you're satisfied, send it to a printer; a printed resume is far superior to photocopies. It shows an employer that you regard job hunting as serious work.

Part-time work comes in many forms. It can be less than an 8-hour work in a fast food chain, a contractual project with a company, freelance for a publication, a little business run on the side, or working on retainer mode for any number of employers.
In other words, part-time work is any kind of job that doesn't require you to do the traditional 9-5 work day routine. In the past, while this kind of would be called in local tongue as a disturbance and was often frowned upon, it is now more openly accepted by people, both employers and employees alike.
This is due to two things: the changing corporate structure makes use of technology that requires more things to be accomplished at a faster rate than employers can hire or afford people to do it, and second, the new workforce culture is encouraging more people to take charge of their careers by going back to school, pursue larger pay checks by increasing their work load, and generally, focus less on company loyalty and more on professional self-development and self-cultivation.
More importantly, part-time work discriminates no one: students, housewives, the unemployed, or even people who have regular jobs. Anybody who has a normal routine can seek part-time outside of his or her "regular" life in order to earn more income.

"Oriented towards modernization, the world, and the future" is the guiding principle for the development of the Chinese education system, both in the long and the short term.“面向现代化、面向世界、面向未来”是中国教育事业长远和短期发展的指导方针。
China's education system can be divided into the following stages:
Pre-scholl education is for 3-5 years old and takes place in kindergartens.
Primary education is from 6-11. Primary schools are usually run by local educational authorities and over free tuition, although there are some private schools owned by enterprises and individuals.
Secondary schooling is for children from 12-17 years of age, Education of this kind is run by local governments and various business authorities.
State-run secondary schools include junior middle schools and senior middle schools, both with three grades or years.
The first three years of secondary school are compulsory and tuition is free. Senior middle school is not compulsory and students must pay minimal tuition fees.
Private secondary schools often offer specialized education and have a more vocational bent, but the qualifications they offer are considered to be on the same level as those of State-run middle schools.
However, graduates from secondary professional schools are seen to have achieved a higher level in some ways akin to a university education.
Students graduating from junior middle schools usually go on to senior middle schools, although some move to vocational high schools or secondary professional schools for 3-5 years of study.

Higher education is offered in universities, colleges, institutes, and vocational colleges.
These institutions conduct academic and scientific research and provide social services as well as offering courses to students.
To enter a university or college, students have to take the national entrance examination, which takes place every June and is now open to people of all ages.
Selection is based on each student's marks in this exam, and due to the number of people sitting the exam, getting into university is highly competitive.
Those who fail to get selected have to go to private colleges if they want to continue their education. Tuition at such colleges is more expensive than at the State-run universities.

There might be a common view that good-looking people can take advertages of their superior appearances in the daily life, especially for the pretty men in the job hunting market. However, according to a new research, good appearance has no longer been the silver bullet in a job.

The results showed that although there was still a preference to cooperate with the attractive man and compete against the unattractive man, and did not mind to work with them. However people were not likely to pick a good-looking man as their potential competitors.

In my opinion, we should not depend ourselves on our appearance in terms of job hunting. Good appearance may bring us some benefits, but what is highly valued in the job market is our talents and abilities.
